How Do I Contribute?
Fundraising Efforts
Since our first year of fundraising efforts, we have raised and donated over $33,000. Every year as we look toward our Annual Bikini Race, we strive to exceed our prior fundraising totals, and so far we have achieved that goal!

In 2017 and 2018, SASS donated $3700 and $5000, respectively, to the Betty Griffin Center. In 2019, we added a second beneficiary, Rethreaded, and donated $5000 to each organization.
Then Covid hit. In 2020 during the pandemic we launched the "Vote for a Boat Challenge" in an effort to continue our mission to help women in the community. With this Challenge in place we were able to donate $6000 to Betty Griffin and also provided each family in the shelter a $100 gift card to a local retailer.
In 2021 with the pandemic still in full sail, we were able to donate $8000!

2022 brought a second charity, St. Francis House, and we donated $6000 each to both charities!

As of 2023 SASS has donated over $55,000!

Net proceeds from direct donations and sponsorships will be split in half and donated to our charities, St. Francis House SASS Women's Rebound Program and Betty Griffin Center SASS for Survivors Program.
Donate Directly to Our Charities through an IRA
Individuals can also make a direct donation to our charities in support of SASS. St. Francis House created the "SASS Women's Rebound Program" and Betty Griffin Center created the "SASS for Survivors Program."

Vote For A Boat
In 2020 during the pandemic we launched the "Vote for a Boat Challenge" in an effort to continue our mission to help women in the community while not tapping our local business community who was already hard hit with the financial strain of the pandemic.

We challenged each registered boat to a friendly competition among themselves!
In its inaugural year, we donated $6000 to Betty Griffin and provided each family in the shelter a $100 gift card to a local retailer. In 2021 with the pandemic still in
full sail, we made an even bigger donation of $8000.

So if you know someone who is racing, or you just want to help out, cast your Vote for a Boat.
